Branch Secretary Volunteer (Isle of Wight Secretary role)

The role is fully supported by the regional Senior Branch and Volunteer Engagement Officer and the other branch volunteers. You will receive full guidance and training for everything you’ll need to do. You will be attending branch committee meetings to help take committee minutes, and contributing your thoughts on future branch activities.

Administrative duties to include supporting the Chair with emails, general branch admin and booking of future activities when required.

When and where

The role will be based within Isle of Wight and can be a few hours a week (dependant on if there are emails or activities to respond/ organise).

You must live locally to the branch to do this role- location is Isle of Wight

Home based (plus travel to branch meetings)

Flexible time as required to deal with emails from the community and members of the branch.

Support with your volunteer role

  • Designated Senior Branch and Volunteer Engagement Officer to answer any queries and provide support.
  • Written guidance on a range of branch communications.
  • You must complete any requested eLearning modules before you start volunteering. Your Senior Branch Engagement Officer will explain what you need to complete.
  • Insurance cover for all branch activities.
  • Agreed expenses reimbursed for attendance at any event organised by the branch support team
